Training
We recognise that good quality training can equip people working with older people and male survivors of abuse to support and help prevent abuse. We provide tailor made accredited VIP (Safety Training) to support workers, volunteers and any person directly responsible for these people.
For this reason we provide a range of training options, targeted toward residential care staff, domiciliary care staff, and voluntary and independent sector groups that interact or directly work with older people and male survivors of abuse. We have also developed resources such as DVDs, games, books, leaflets and guides to be used by support workers, volunteers and for the older people and male survivors to raise awareness and prevention of abuse.
Courses can be structured according to your needs, can be used as part of induction programmes or refresher sessions and may be structured to fit over one or several days. Learning methods can include handouts, sessions, games, lectures, group discussion, information sharing and small group activities.
